12 viewsSmoke is on, throttle up and we're on our way. Shortly after take off, Sam took a radio hit which slammed the Extra on it's belly back onto the ground.
18 viewsSitting pretty on the flight line, Rick's Waco prepares for take off.
18 viewsUpon recovering the Extra, the smoke system was still in full swing, but the damage from the impact was minimal, only suffering a broken prop, shattered spinner and slightly bent landing gear. It was as good as new after a few repairs.

13 viewsFero Zatko from Burnaby Lake Flyers is the owner of this unusual plane. He cut it on his CNC foam cutter. Originally, it had the propeller inside the fuselage tube, but he had to move the motor forward to get the CofG right. It reminds Sam of those big Groupers found on the Great Barrier Reef that eat smaller planes, I mean fish.

10 viewsAnother shot of this beautiful airplane. Frank won the award for the Best WWI Warbird.

13 viewsKen Stuhr's Dornier D0435. Having a prop on both ends of this plane, one could have a difficult time determining if it's coming or going. A very sleek design and flew quite nicely.
9 viewsHere it is again just hanging out.
11 viewsNot sure who the pilot was, but this is a Kavan Partenavia.
9 viewsHere's a CMP pattern ship. We're not sure who the owner is, but another nice colourful plane.

8 viewsThis is kind of a funny shot...to see a warbird from the South Pacific flying over our snow covered mountains.
10 viewsAfter recovering from the Team Tracon M*A*S*H (Model Airplane Surgical Hospital), Sam's Vector Flight 300S Extra was back on the flight line.
12 viewsOne of the last flights of the day Saturday was Grant's Hellcat taking to the air to patrol the skies over the Fraser Valley R/C Flyers Field.
26 viewsHere's an eerie image captured by Sam of Dan's Sealand going in...
12 viewsSam's second flight was much more successful. Trying to lessen the spectacle, he didn't run the smoke system on the second flight.
